I want to see your most unique mount!
Come on guys I want to see those unique mounts something different, not just a plain old shoulder mount! Here is mine its a solid 8 point in a glass case with a night light inside!

Here's my most unique mount.
It's a european mount of a buck that I killed a few years ago. When I was cleaning off the skull, I felt a bony abnormality on the right side of the snout above the teeth. Turns out that he'd been shot through the face, and had been living with a big chunk of bullet stuck in the bone. I pulled the bullet out to clean the area, and glued it back in. Entrance wound  Exit wounds (fragmented exit)  Close-up  By the amount of scar tissue and the way the bones had healed, the wound appeared to be at least a year old. No visible scarring or markings were visible on the hide. Just a little lump could be felt on the snout, under the skin. Not visible in the pics, but the bony plate comprising the roof of his mouthwas cracked by the impactand subsequently healed-over. His sinus cavities were completely decimated, but he appeared outwardly healthy in every possible way, showing no signs of injury or malnutrition. Tough animals... |

This isn't the best picture but it gives you an idea! I wasn't sure if I would like the 90degree turn but it Is probably my favorite of my African mounts!

These are my favorite mounts I had this moose hand carved with my dad and I on one side and the three moose we seen when we shot this one
 This other moose mount i built a steel pedastal and had my mom paint 3 pictures on it the front one is of me and my dad with this moose after i shot it.  |

Hey guys I did the skull myself by putting it in the ground till summer. I then had my taxi make the case. The whole thing was $220 not bad for a nice piece. It really is a beautiful piece of furniture!

Not the most unique but my most different head mount and I mounted it so I like it.
 This isa friend of my parent'sfirst bird he shot that I called in for him and mounted as well. Was the quickest turkey hunt I've ever been on. Took 15 min from the time we left the truck. First call and he came hard. Took about 5 min from the time we set up till dead bird...I've got one of my own that is mounted similar but has a real tree trunk piece as a center board.   |

I really like the way this looks! Very Nice! I think it would be really nice on a different color wall then blue, but none the less beautiful!

Yeah the blue is not very good. Also the fan on this bird wasnt very wide. Mine is a really wide fan and makes the whole thing look more round. I'll try to take some pics this weekend when I'm home. WCL

ORIGINAL: wingchaser_labs Yeah the blue is not very good. Also the fan on this bird wasnt very wide. Mine is a really wide fan and makes the whole thing look more round. I'll try to take some pics this weekend when I'm home. WCL Cant wait to see your pics! I think the fan not being very wide is what makes it unique! |

The thing I like about it the most is the colors in the wings. You get all the purples, blues,and greens and its just different than the typical fan mount. WCL

If I get a bird I may have to have this done. I was going to use the wing feathers for fletching bunt man thats cool. I may have to do this instead. Ok first I have to get a bird...LOL |
