5 out of 5 MURS, February 7, 2008 By alaskanassasin from ak "Its great. Did everything it should. Batterys lasted several months. I bought more for me and gave them out at Christmas." Was this review helpful to you? Lay out some bait, go to sleep. The MURS will alert you when a fox is approaching the bait. Shipping is slow!!!" Was this review helpful to you? Yes No (Report Inappropriate Review) Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 Great Companion, January 15, 2008 By agriguru from Michigan "Can't say enough about this product...performed flawlessly and gave me eyes in the back of my head for 360 degree observation. Won't go out for a hunt without it!" Was this review helpful to you? Yes No (Report Inappropriate Review) Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 Fun, Reliable and Effective, January 7, 2008 By RSeals from Azle, Texas "I use this to monitor deer movement at our home. I have two monitors and the receiver. While in our house we can receive a strong signal from over 150 yards. I set them at 3" high so that only deer trigger them. They really are amazing and I'm surprised they are not sold in the stores... at least not in the Fort Worth store. The only aspect that I wished was a little more improved is the ear piece. A standard headset or normal headphone jack will not fit in the receptor, but they do give you an "ok" ear piece. Other than that one tiny, tiny issue... I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to trial monitor game or property security. A+++++++++++!" |

RE: Have you seen this?
From a techy standpoint I say that is a really cool device. From a sportsman standpoint I say, "Boooooo!" Now we don't even have to stay awake to hunt.
I don't see any way that those are legal here in PA. |

RE: Have you seen this?

RE: Have you seen this?
Its cool device...and I like the last review about ther person using it in their house, thats a good idea
But I can tell you that I wouldn't ever be using one while I was sitting in a treestand |
RE: Have you seen this?
im always alert and look at any sound i hear, although it would be cool to use on a trail like one hundred yards from the stand
|
RE: Have you seen this?
If i fall asleed on stand while hunting, i plan on paying for it! I dont see myself ever using one of these...
|
RE: Have you seen this?
I'll pass...
|
RE: Have you seen this?
Just set up some claymores!
|
RE: Have you seen this?
Good device for around home & Tresspassers. As for using it to hunt...NO WAY! if you want to friggin sleep stay in bed, if you dont want to hunt go buy an animal in a friggin pen!
|
RE: Have you seen this?
Pretty slick. I always thought that kind of technology was very expensive. Amazing what they can do these days.
I wouldn't care for one myself. Be leaving stink and disturbance on every trail. |
RE: Have you seen this?
Just another example of how we are getting further away from the true meaning of "hunting". Very sad.[&o]

I'm going to wait until they link it to a trigger pull so I don't have to be there to shoot. I wiil even pay extra for the cell phone alert option so I will be alerted that I just killed something.

RE: Have you seen this?
The typical deer camp story sometime in the near future:
So there I was in my climate and scent controlled deer blind drinking beer and watching football on my portable tv. when it happened. The alarm went off on my game sensor. The linked monitor told me he was 57.8 yards away on a compass bearing of 184 degrees. My scent dispersal system kicked into action filling the air with doe in heat lure in the location that would draw the buck closer. My automatic deer call also started making doe in heat blat calls to draw him past my stand. the doe decoy popped up and started pacing back and forth to add the finishing touches. my bow which pumps out arrows at 600FPS was put into action. The sight automatically adjusted for the distance and incline. My trusty release, whuch is linked to a heartbeat detection system would not allow me to release unless I'm on target. The shot was true. My tracking knock which stays in thr deer after the shot will make tracking a breeze. Standing over that 268" typical made me happy that I passed up that borderline 215" er. I sure am a great hunter. |
RE: Have you seen this?
Right on Magic!! I think there's people who would love to use what you just said! Hunting will get to that point if this technology junk doesn't soon stop!

|
RE: Have you seen this?
Im all for gadget's i owntrail cams, the latest calls and decoys every year, new bow technology newest muzzleloader techbut these seem a little rediculous.
|
RE: Have you seen this?
ive seen it, that thing would get annoying to me after a while though, and id get more worried about it then deer hunting
|
RE: Have you seen this?
I didn't read all four pages, so this has probably said already, but I will say it anyway. You better check your local game laws to make sure this thing is legal. If you live in an area where radios are illegal this will most likely be as well since it's the same concept.
For $180 I think I will pass on it. Paul |
