No paint, it's got a dull finish and with the straps and other things on it, the outline is well broken up.

painted all mine...even my summit viper. cant stand that factory greenish grayish color...it stands out like a sore thumb. i painted my lock ons as well...what a difference it made...atleast from my eyes. used green, brown and a kaki/tan color. the tan color really helped alot..used green as the base and alot of brown and tan to break it up...its more brown and tan than green...i used the camo paint Walmart sales...its a little more expensive..probably because its made for camo jobs....but it is FLAT..

Haven't painted any of my stands, but did paint one of my stack ladders. The ladder was olive-drab green, added some tan paint with a brush here and there to break it up. Used outdoor latex.

Heck no! There's no need to with mine. I make my own hang on metal stands. I let the rain do the camoing for me. After a while it will put a dull rusty finish on the stand. Paint does stink and does have a smell the 1st year of being painted. After that I'm guessing it wouldn't smell no more.
