Bowtech vs. PSE: Need Advice!

Hey guys,

But, in regards to costumer service and things along that line, would ya'll recommend a Bowtech or a PSE bow. Thanks for any help

You are going to hear about 90% Bowtech here. When you say Bowtech and PSE, I'm assuming you are considering the X-Force?

When it comes to PSE, not many people put them on the same plateu as Bowtech, Mathews, Hoyt, etc. That's where the X-Force has come into play, since releasing the X-Force, PSE's sales have skyrocketed. Now, they have gathered names like the Drury's and they are getting a lot of attention. It is definately a bow worth considering.

Some more food for thought. How many X-Force failures have you heard of? The new "X" limbs, could quiet possible have the fewest failures on the market today. When the X bows came out, especially the X-Force, people thought it had Limb Failure written all over it (So did I).

If you aren't considering the X-Force, and want something cheaper, look at the Mossy Oak X. This bow is a little longer ATA, and is still VERY quick at around 330. This bow will also flat out shoot. Adam Hayden, PSE Pro, is shooting this bow for 3d. He has placed in the top 10 at all the ASA's this year, including a 2nd place at Texas with this bow.

The Rogue X is an AWESOME price point bow. You won't see the speed this bow produces, with the price tag it has, from any other company.

However,

Bowtech makes an AWESOME bow too. I really like the specs of the new Airbornes. They are a great do it all bow, and plus I just like the feeling of a little bit longer bow.

He has a REALLY tough choice on his hands.

Any top-of-the-line bow manufacturer in today's marketplace should be offering and indeed giving more-than-satisfactory service to its customer base. With the vast lineup offered by both of these companies, your task should be to see what bows will fit his strengths and minimize his weaknesses, to find out what will "fit the bill" for his desires and offers the most practical solution for his style of hunting.

Then he needs to go shoot as many as he can find that fit within those parameters.

Good luck in your search, and have fun while your'e doing it.

I am not loyal to bowtech at all, but let me say that they make a very good bow, and are a fairly new company that took off for a reason. They got somewhat of a bad rap with thelimb failures that they had, but I have yet to hear of one failure that wasnt made right by Bowtech in the end, and over the past two years, the amount of cracks have gone done considerably. I own the Allegiance and it is the best hunting bow out there IMHO even today. Forgiving yet fast, accurate and quiet. They had the whole package in this bow.

That being said, I feel as though PSE has come a LOOOOOOOONG way with their bows. I didnt like the draw cycle, but some people love it, and without a doubt it is smoking fast for a good price. They have made major steps in catching back up with the so called big three and are stepping up to take Mathews and Hoyts place by innovating more and making a more appealing bow.

After all of that, It comes down to feel of the bow n his hand, tell him to go shoot them as much as possible, and make his decision that way. I know personally of bowtechs customer service, and it seems to be in line, but I have no idea about PSE's, so I cant help you there. I hopw this helped you in some way.

PSE X Force will not be as pleasant and comfortable to shoot as most all of the Bowtechs....

its all about what "fits his bill" as mentioned before. does he want speed for 3d or target shootingwhile during the hunting season he still has a great shooting bow that will make up for a little noise in speed for sure. or does he want a smooth shooting bow with all of the creature comforts so to say. the airbornes would probably be what he weent with if hes thinking pse vs. bt. they are smooth and a little quieter and almost as fast. if he wants a super smooth, dead in the hand bow that is extremely forgiving then the guardian or general will be what he would want. they are slower (the guardian is 10-15fps faster than the general) but they make up for it in the noice and feel department. he just needs to shoot whichever ones he thinks will satisfy him now.

I've had my X-force 7" Dream Season for around 2 months now and can honestly say , i have no issues with the draw cycle ( you have to realise , its a speed bow ... its gonna be a bit harsh ) . My bow is set at 65# and find it a real sweet shooter and will not be getting rid of it for a long time .
I may try other bows , but this one is staying ;).

Im going to highly recomend PSE over Bowtech. Not just because I own a PSE but because of past experiences with the company. They are kind, courtious, quick delivery, and hell, you cant beat their warranty. Its the best on the market.
