One Bow Has Gotta Go - Opinions?

I recently got a 2007 Hoyt Vectrix XL and my wife commented "Three bows now?". I assured her that I really only need two hunting bows and, after some testing of the Vectrix XL, I would sell one of the three. They are all 29" draw 60 lb. bows. Here's how they stack up:

1. 2005 Hoyt Protec. Pros: very smooth and forgiving. Consistent.
Cons:Heavy and long (38"). Requires a 12" stabilizer to balance.

2. 2007 Reflex Growler. Pros: Short and light. Cons:shoots well when form is perfect, but is much less forgivingthan the longer Protec.

3. 2007 Vectrix XL. Pros: Almost as smooth and forgiving as the Pro Tec. A little faster than either of the other two. Balances with a mini S-Coil. Cons: Almost as long as the Pro Tec. Weight is about mid way between the other two.

Any thoughts from the savy and insightful members of the forum? I would probably prefer to keep all three, but i sort of promised to get rid of one before the fall season starts. Thanks. Roskoe.

P.S. I hunt in Colorado and haven't, at least up till now, done much tree stand hunting. Mostly hunt out of ground blinds and spot/stalk.

I'd go for No. 2... if the others perform better for you when things are less than perfect.

Ditch the Growler. Great bow, but not the same caliber as the other 2.

I'd be willing to help with the removal of that Protec if you go that way.;)

short n light? to me thats not much of a pro.....forgiving is more of a pro IMO.

Never understood why a bow needed to be shorter.......light is nice, but whats a pound? Esp after reading that longer bows were more forgiving....

If you get rid of that Protec you're nuts [8D]

The Protec in my opinion, really helped with putting Hoyt on the map. That and the Ultra Tec. There are a TON of people who shoot Protec's for target. I absolutely LOVE the Safari colored Protec.
