9. Make sure you clear the blind? I thought you said hit it in the behind. 8. No 12 ring 7. Deadfall was in my way. 6. Wasn't sure you were on him. 5. I was off 3 yds on distance 4. I was at full draw FOREVER 3. My heart was pounding too hard 2.His beard was only 9" ([8D]) 1. I SUCK! Well.....I told him I'd put him on them....and he had to do the rest. We saw 15 turkeys this morning.....with 13 of them being gobblers. I'll let Rob defend himself in his own thread...lol (lotta fun....and everything is on film) |

GAry....We'd stand a better chance of throwing a ross at a bird.
In ROb's defense......the shot looks awesome on film. It could have been a little higher......but the windage was perfect. It struck dead-center of the tail fan as it had its back to us. We checked the arrow and it had nothing on it, though. I actually thought he'd thumped it. |

Gary....A ross van hit a fawn out here on hwy 67 about 3 years ago. to my knowledge.....that's the only thing "ross" has ever killed. Good luck in KY! |

Tomorrow's ass.....He's getting back on the horse, today! It's technically "my turn" to shoot.......but I'm relinquishing those rights.....because I'm such a nice guy (actually it's more fun to give Rob hell than it is to kill one)[8D].

I also left off "Tom Fever". We just looked at the footage again,.....and OMG was this a pretty bird. 9"+ beard and beautiful spurs.

I tried to upload the video earlier. They have a cable modem[:'(] and it's taking way too long. I'll go to bed and try to let it upload and check it later IF I wake up.
We'll be up bright and early before they come off the roost but I have to say, I like our chances in the morn. I really do. Hopefully this video plus more will be available tomorrow. I also hope to see any locals on Sunday for the GTG. From what Jeff's telling me, the food alone is worth the trip. Check back. Watch for a video post. It's no as bad, or I'm not as bad as Jeff is making me out to be. LOL [8D] |

You can use the explanation the Hollywood hunters always use,string jumping.I think the Tom ducked and was beginning to spin away at the moment of release.Do the slow motion replay,I am sure in Rob's defense you will clearly see that the shot was perfect.

No shots this morning. We called the entire flock in several longbeards, hens and multiple jakes along the field. We turned them into the woods when one putted and they turned back and walked away.
