Default Will He Be A Booner-

Found these sheds 30 feet apart while turkey hunting yesterday with gri22ly. We scored it to be roughly 156 (+/-5) with a conservative 20 inch inside spread. Its only the second time I had found a matching set and what a time for it to come. What do you guys estimate he'll be next year if these sheds are 4 1/2. I also have all the measurements written down if anyone is curious.

I saw those in the deer hunting forum the other day.

Why don't you let us know if he is a BOONER after you get him this fall.

Nice find. It is concievable that he would put on 14-19" more. I would think he would be in the 165" gross range though.

20 inch spread is less than conservative I would say first..

Here's the thing Inen.. if you really believe the antlers come of a 4.5 yr old deer.. you must also realize most whitetails grow 90% of their inches by age 4.5 yrs. and about 95% of their total weight. So that really tells you how rare it is for a deer to be a booner in the first place.

So basically.. if those are antlers from a 4.5 yr. old... he will most likely never reach booner status net... maybe gross boone at about 5 or 6... but even that is a stretch.

Nice find though. Congrats..

Man, I don't know if he'll be a booner or not, but he'll sure be close. What a beautiful set of antlers. Those brows are incredible. Good luck on meeting with the owner of that set next fall.

Not sure if he will ever go booner but none the less, thats an awesome deer He looks to be an 8 point, it is hard for an 8 to make booner unless he adds some more points. hope you tag him
