Im not a bowtech guy by any means, but youre not the first to have that problem with the bowtech, as well as other problems. there are many reasons my local dealer will not sell bowtechs anymore.

I am not one to ever comment on these types of posts, but your reply kinda has me wondering.... I mean really I am just curious here....

What in your eyes is theproblemhe is having that it isn't the "first"? Reserving the string on a bow that is at least3 years old (BowTech hasn't released any single cams since 2005)and then having issues putting it back together correctly????

You are kidding right? I mean seriously..... :D

Oz

As Greg already asked.... Let us know what model and year the bow is andone of us will get you any information you need to getit back together correctly.

have contacted greg thanks guys its a bowtech independence i would like to say it is a great bow and shoots real nice when there isnt a string problem it need to be done the serving was frayed and comming off and i have to say to settle peoples minds i have had archery shops in australia for many years and now am setting one up in england i may not know much about bowtechs yet but i can put them back together :D

i think it may just be the amount of string twist need etc we will see but all in all i think there a nice bow even if its an old model

RE: Bowtech string related question

If the bow is 3 years old and still has the factory string I would suggest you install a new string and cable.

Contact gibblet here on the forum his strings are the best.

The nocking point could have moved due to the amount of twists you put in the string.

oz,

Sorry in the delay in getting back to you... had a busy day attending a memorial ofa friend who passed away unexpectantly at the age of 44 among a ton of other things... I sent you a PM first thing when I walked back in the house.

RE: Bowtech string related question

thankyou greg sorry about your friend hope you dont mind me asking another question why or what would cause the nocking point to be nearly half an inch or more above square??? just to get a half even flight its still not shooting correct could that be the cable not being correct length etc due to incorrect amount of twists?
