Deer Watching Arrows
 

Yesterday I was shooting in the back yard and had two does watching me the entire time from about 10-12 yards away. I was shooting three arrows over and over again and they just stood there. Every time I would fire an arrow they would watch the arrow in flight. It was funny. Part of the time I was watching the deer turn thier heads to watch the arrow.

I kept walking back and forth to retrieve the arrows from the bag and they didn't have a care in the world.

Yes I was tempted to switch a field point to a broad head.

Dang, 10 -12 yards?? Dude that's close.

I was sighting in a black powder gun once and had several doe off to the side feeding while the gun was going off, but they more like 75 yards away.

Sounds like you better aim really low come bow season.

Yeah they were really close. Under some trees but close.

I probably shouldn't have left them as witnesses.

That is such a cool story. I would love to see pictures of that too bad you weren't filming yourself shooting with the does watching.

I can just imagine their thoughts. Older doe says to the younger ones "Oh fawns! Look at the man over there. See what he is holding? That is called a bow. And see what he does with it? He move his arm back and the bow throws a pointy stick and it kills that bag! Now look at what he does. Pick up bow, move arm back, and now looks at the stick fly!" Fawns " COOOOL" Doe "Now remeber one of these days if you aren't careful you will be that bag! Look at you father!" Fawns " Yeah right! I bet he doesn't even know we are here!!" :D
