It's gone as of last night! Sold!! Now Im on a quest for a new bow. Hopefully I will find what Im looking for, the Black Ice has my attetion for sure, but I have not shot any bows yet.

7" brace height X-Force ( quiet , fast and forgivable ) ,i'd alsolove to try the Hoyt Katera out and also the Diamond Black-iceor Marquis .

If you have been shooting the X force you better look to the Marquis,orone of the Airbornes. The Black Ice is a great bow with a smooth draw but is not the fastest bow out there.

I know Im going to take a hit in speed with any other bow on the market b/c of my draw length, and I don't mind giving some on speed if I can gain in accuracy and smoothness. I hope to shoot a bow that will give me at least 270-275 fps.

In my opinion the Black Ice is a great bow. It is the most accurate bow I have shot. I traded mine fora Guardian and went back2 weeks later and bought it back. Iactually missed shooting it.

Vabow, I purchased a Black Ice in January. I am by no means a pro or know it all about bows, but I love the black ice. I love shooting it. Good luck with the purchase.

I just couldn't get used to the agressiveness of the bow, so hard of a draw and hand shock was unreal. It was a speed bow, had my fill of it. I sold it loaded, sight, quiver, string tamer, qadrest, peep,kisser, stabilizer, wrist slingand a dozen arrows for 800$ I thought that was fair for both of us, he doesn't even have to change the draw length on it, he shot it twice and hit bulls eye, even the anchor points are very close, he is my cousin, we are short....[&o]Keep sending me stories about the Black Ice, good and bad!! Oh, btw Jeff, I don't have the balls to do that!! I like my compound too much and I ain't good enough nor do I have the time to get good enough!!;)

Landon, The best advice I can give you is just take your time. Shoot all the bows you can get your hands on. One will stick out as the best for you.

Bows you need to be sure and shoot are Black Ice, Marquis, Allegiance, Guardian, & General. Don't turn down a chance to shoot anything.

Forget the numbers and go for what feels good to you.

Hey va don't forget about the commander,if you want smoothness and forgiveness this bow can't be overlooked.As far as speed I am shooting a 490gr arrow at 260 fps set on 62lbs with a 29"draw lenght and ke is 73.The bow has a long ata of over 37" and is rock solid in your hands.I was at the bow shop today and picked an x-force and i just did not like the feel of it.too short for me for one thing,but hey to everyone their own.

It is about time you got rid of that you had more problems kisser buttons peeps servings my little buddy just bought a dxt 27 draw lenth he zings them right in there. I went and shot a few of the bowtechs they where nice but no better than my drenilin some seemed a little faster .Shot the hoyt to did not like the weight or the bar close to the riser but most of these new bows are so close in acuracy and smothness and speed it is hard to choose take your time and buy what feels best forget who makes it.

Shoot everything your interested in. Buy what feels the best. I shot 7 different bows. Settled for the Bowtech Tribute.

The Commander is probably not a Bow I would point him at because of his Draw length, but hey VA if you get a chance shoot it.
