RE: My big bowhunting purchase this year will be...
I read somewhere that the second you pull the trigger, justified or not it'll cost you a minimum of something like $20,000 in legal fees to prove it in court?
Anyway......... I know the quotes: "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6" etc etc.:D Carrying is a SERIOUS SERIOUS thing to consider doing and even the slightest Dirty Harry attitude is a bad combination. You need to be completely level headed and willing to ONLY pull that gun as the absolute last resort. Get "pull happy" and you could escalateANY situation into a deadly one in a blink of an eye changing yours and that personslife forever. I have my CCW, I carry occaisionally and consider that everytime it goes into my waistband. I'm all for legal carry but remeber it isn't pepper spray, you can't take it back or wash it off. |

In my line of work, I get a front-row seat for a lot of this stuff. All I can tell you guys is that concealed weapons have caused WAYYYYYYYY more problems than they've ever solved.
As far as bowhunting goes - if you live in the northeast - and you think you need a pistol to "protect yourself"while you're bumbling around in the woods-the King says you either need to grow a pair, or take up a more girly sport - like Ceramics. |
RE: My big bowhunting purchase this year will be...
If you want facts in TEXAS when concealed carry was made legal crime in texas went down. Conceled weapons are the answer in my opionion. and the reason why people say there are more problems than worth is becuase of the legality issue. I like floridas attitude you can not be charged or tried in any case of justified self defense they cant even arrest you. They have to prove that it wasnt justified self defense toarrest andtry you.

Matt, this is so very true, even if you are justified in the shooting you are almost guaranteed to be sued in civil court. I carry, hoping that it is the last thing I ever have to use in a confrontation. |

In the UK , if you are carrying ... its because your doing something illegal . The only peopleallowed tocarry in the UK are Airport police, DEA and specialist reaction units . Its about this time BigJ comes in and shows us his sidearm isn't it . ;) |
