She's Ready, Will the Gobblers cooperate?

GMMAT has some birds located that is for sure, now will they cooperate?

I'm ready, she's ready. Well, you saw her bare,

Now see her fully dressed!

Notice anything other than the quiver full of arrows?

That's right, I said it before and I'm sticking by it. I'll never shoot another bow without either a factory or MeanV suppressor installed.

I got ahold of Dan (MeanV) on Saturday and inquired about a suppressor for the Black Ice. Talk about fantastic customer service. I received the suppressor in the mail today. He shipped it immediately knowing I'll be on the road Thursday. I love these little suppressors and am in awe how well they work. The first one I added to my Ally. I thought my Ally was quiet until I added the MeanV. wow what a difference. As smooth as this (BI) bow shot, it's even better with the addition of the MeanV suppressor. I highly recommend if you don't have one on your bow, get one on your bow regardless of bow manuf because these little things work amazingly.

So, in closing, she's sighted in to 50 yards, I'm ready, she's ready, will the birds be ready?

Your stabalizer needs the blue pill[8D]

And MeanV, start cranking out some front mounts. My trykon begs you to;)

RE: She's Ready, Will the Gobblers cooperate?

Good luck with the birds Rob.

I hope you have better luck than I did the last 2 days. Mine are all henned up. They fly down and have hens with them when they hit the ground. Then to add insult to injury, the hens run right past me to the gobbler. I just can't compete with that.

Your MeanV is on upside down. LOL
:D

Good luck bud, I hope you whack em good.........and if you don't need the wings for anything make sure you save them for me. (Primaries anyway)

If you get a little roadweary on your way back through there's always an open bed here at Casa De Mickey, give me buzz if you need.

LOL are you serious about it being upside down? I like the down look better than the up look. And thanks for the offer for the open bed, not sure what time I will be coming through your neck of the woods, I'll holla at you when I do. It's going to be late Sunday.

Thanks jmbuck....do your gobblers open up after 9:00 am?

RE: She's Ready, Will the Gobblers cooperate?

LOL are you serious about it being upside down?
Technically.......yeah you want to get it positioned as close to the center of teh string as possible which means the up position.
In theory it should help the string overtravel a bit and dampen more occilation because it's closer to the center.

In reality? LOL I always position them up but you do have a "limp" theme going on there.
;)

I also put mine on the other way.....The closer it isto the center of the string the more efficient it is at suppressing string oscillation.

LOL, maybe I'll turn it around, it works so amazingly as it is. I do love to tinker with them so....

They shutup and dissappear after about 8:30. They don't have to come out in the fields around here yet. The woods are so wide open the hens can see them from hundreds of yards away. And they can see me too.:)

Hey Rob it looks great! Why not the 82nd for the birds? Are you afraid to rip one in half?:DJust looked at my STS and its in the upright position not the limp position!:DGood luck down there and I can not wait for a report! If you happen to stop by Matts give me a shout Im right down the road a couple minutes!

RE: She's Ready, Will the Gobblers cooperate?

Oh I forgot.....make sure you serve a small section of your string where the stopper hits (extend it about 1/8" above and below) or you'll beat up your string fibers pretty quickly.

Francis? That's a good name.

Let's see, HHhmmm Beatty, as in Ole Black Beatty bam balam...no, that's taken. HHhmm,

Well, she's Gorgeous, and she's Sexy, so...Hhhmm,

Brian, Thanks buddy.

jmbuck, I know how open the woods are, it's so open. It get's better when it greens up a bit, we can get in tighter. Good luck.

Tim, thanks man. I'll shout when I come through. The 82nd's set up for target. I thought about it, as fast as she is I could screw in a 100 grain broadhead and have little change in POI so, it's not out of the vote yet. After I take one, (if) with the BI, maybe I'll get a chance with the 82nd just to see....you know how hard she hits targets. ;)

You know Matt, thanks for reminding me that. I knew to do that, haven't on my Ally either, thanks for the reminder. I'm headed downstairs now.

Good Luck on the Turks Rob!!

I have guys that swear by them up and others swear by them down and claim they are more out of the way;)

As you know they seem to do a pretty darn good job either way, although I put mine up (Habit):D

Very nice Rob.If you get one in range my money is on you. I just got back from Windsor NC.We onlylocated one bird on the roost and that was this morning, the birds just werent responding unfortunately, we had to rely on spotting them instead of roosting birds in the evening and finding them before fly down in the mornings. We still got 3 birds in UltimateCamo on video with one gobbler going balistic ona decoy. I was the only one that couldnt close the deal, imagine that lol. The birds were red hot until Sat eveing when the cold front rolled in. Im heading back for a few days in 2 weeks to hopefully fill a tag or 2. Good luck Rob, Im sure you and Jeff will lay the smack down on some birds.

Good luck down there Rob. Make sure Jeff is primed and ready on using the GL2.

Remember, start with the filter open all the way and gain at the highest setting, lower your gain until you're under 6 then start lowering your filter. Keep doing this until your filter and gain are set right for the daylight. Don't forget to white balance for color correction. And for Pete's sake make sure those numbers are rolling.;) LOL Mike has beat that into my head.
