Question About Pendulum Sights

I have shot a pendulum for over 5+ years now... and I was thinking the other day. When shooting on the ground to site the sight in, are you supposed to keep the pendulum locked. In general I am asking about the Tru Glo pendulum sights that I have been using. I always sighted them in on the ground at 20 yards with the pendulum moving and it shot from 0-35 yards on the ground and same goes for my deer stand. Im looking to buy a new sight that I can shoot in on the ground and also use the same settings in the tree... I think I may go back w/ the Truglo.

RE: Question About Pendulum Sights

Also wondering about fixed pin sights, how do those work? Do you have to aim higher or lower at like 10 yards & 40 yards etc...

RE: Question About Pendulum Sights

I am sure they work for some people, but I don't want my sight moving unless I'm the one moving it;)
