ATV tune up?
 

Hey im looking to give my ATV a tune up for the upcoming bow season. It is a 2000 Yamaha Big Bear 400 and i haven't done anything to it maintenance wise for 6 years (it just sits in our barn at a vacation house), lol. It has been used maybe 6 hours a year and has been through lots of dust. I was thinking of going air filter, oil filter, plug, and oil change. how much do you think this will cost? Also, anything else i can do to make sure she is tuned up and running good?

Lube all the cables and change the lube in the differentials (85W90). And check the muffler bearings. They were quite a problem on the Big Bears.

Oil (3.5 qts. @ 3.00/qt.) $12

Air filter (spray cleaner and reoiler kit for the foam sleeve) $15.00

Oil (for cables, you probobly have around) $0

Bottle of gear lube (85W90) $5

Should be doing it ATLEAST once a year, regardless of time used and more like 2X.
