That and a good dose of "Common Sense" goes a long way to killing a buck. Sadly the latter seems to be short supply.

I only use scents for about 2 weeks. I use Pete Rickards Indian Buck Lure. The only reason I use it is to stop a buck for a shot. I use it as a distraction rather than an attraction.

Greg, can you explain this further? do you hang a wick? do you run a scent line straight away from your stand in a shooting lane?

I have limited experience with scents but I've noticed deer head the other direction when using Tinks and have had alot of deer come to investigate Wildlife Research ........ can't remember the name of it. Moon something. I think based on reading things here and in magazine articles.. NO Scent is the best way to kill mature deer.
