whats your sight pin configuration?

just wondering how everyone likes to set there sight pins up for HUNTING yardage, mainly for turkeys, but i want to know for deer to. right now i have my top pin set dead onat 25 yds, and it hitsabout an1"high at 20 andabout 1" lowat 30. my second pin is set dead on at 35 yds andit hits about 1" high at30 and about 1.5 low at 40 yards. I still have to set a couple more in the next day or to. do you like em stacked 20,30,40,50 exc?? or do you do similar to mine? just curious.

I had to reconfigure mine a bit with the new arrows I set up. Right now I have 20, 30, 35, 40 and 50 ... I haven't decided if I want to replace the one pin of mine that is broken to have 45... Or just move the 50 to 45 and call it good with 5 pins..

These Copper John 2's suck for changing out pins/fibers I might add.. I love everything else about it..

20,30,40,50

For both deer and turkey. I typically wouldn't shoot past 40 at deer and 30 at turkey. I feel comfortable doing it, I just don't like to.

The dang hunk of junk I am shooting is slow and there is a need for a 15 yard pin I haven't shot at 40 or 50 since sighting it in!

I've always done 20, 30 and 40 for whitetail hunting... with the 20 being green, 30 in yellow and the 40 in red. I've explained it on here before, but the thought process goes like this...

Green (20 and under)... you've got the green light! Let 'er rip!!

Yellow (30 yards).. Let's think this one through for one second... Will the animal come closer? If not, be careful, and take good aim.

Red (40 yards)... Whoah! Wait a sec here... Do you really want to take this shot? Is it the best you're likely to get?

Red also "winks out" on me the quickest in failing light, and I figure if I can't see my 40-yard pin clearly enough, I don't need to be taking that long a shot. Yellow goes for me next, leaving me with a bright green dot to shoot anything up close at the last legal shooting minute.

I've since added a fourth pin to my rigs, due to my Colorado elk trips which I'm starting to take now...

I did just re-order a new retro wrap kit for one of my older Hunter Hogg-Its that's going on my brand new Allegiance though... it's going to be a .29 green, a .19 yellow, a .19 green and a fourth .19 yellow. I got in the same sight configuration a couple days ago with .19, .10, .10 and .10, but decided that while .10 is great for 3d, it just wasnt' going to cut it with my eyes for hunting, so I sent it back to have it re-done.

Sweet, never associated the colors like that!! I do have a ghetto tip of the day related to sight pins and their color but that will have to wait, we are already one tip over today.

Because I get so many close shots and hate having to adjust my hold, my 1st pin is typically for 17 or 18 yds, but then I let that one go the whole way to 30. I have 40 & 50 yds pins but they are just for practice.

When I hunted elk I did 25,35,45, 55.

Now that I have a MUCH faster bow, I have no idea how my pins will shake out.

20,30,40 for me.

I've been contemplating adding a 50 yard pin, not for hunting purposes but for practice. Now when I shoot out to 50 yards, I "hold over" It's really no big deal because I don't practice at that distance too often (too busy trying to hit anything at 40:D) but maybe I'll put one on, see how I like it.
