No problem with the poster at all Jeff. I have told you that before.
Just let some of the answers by other people slide off the shoulder.
It's not worth turning it into a posting war.

I think I still have it on the DVR, i'll have to watch it again. The guy hunts with all kinds of weapons. If he does shoot the Recurve he should do more shows with it!
I agree. That would be neat to see another Traditional bow hunter on TV, we need more of them big time!!!

Just for clarity.....

So were gonna praise Waddel for smokin a buck with his recurve ..........after missing a doe by shooting FOUR FEET over her back......

......and in the same thread put down Tred Barta for "flingin arrows"?[8D]

If I was picking teams forhunting, Waddell would be my pick. Barta would be that runt kid that jumps up and down yelling "pick me!".

RE: Tred Barta question

Waddell misses on occasion (don't we all?). Barta often flings arrows that aren't in the same zip code as the target.

Did waddell say that his effective range was 15 yards and then shoot out to allmost fifty in high winds?

How many did Barta miss and wound on his Mule deer hunt? See any difference?

Guys.....lol....no "posting war". The board was a "little" slow;)

I'm simply asking you probative questions....and I'm SINCERELY interested in your answers. It's just hard to separate the man from the statement....and I'm fully aware of that. I don't care for the MAN, myself....and I've said so, before.

I DO think us compound shooters are threatened when a man makes such a statement (I say "us" as a community). I think we're threatened any time what we do and have so much passion for is in ANY WAY "diminished". And yes.....Tred's guilty of diminishing what we do (as Sliver...I think...pointed out). I don't agree with that. THAT is offensive.

RE: Tred Barta question

He's saying he does it the hard way. Can that be argued?
I think we've proved that on this forum, anything CAN and WILL be argued.

I could give a rats...about Tred Barta. I've seen his show like twice, one where he was fishing, and one hunting caribou.

He is a good fisherman, and one arrogent S.O.B.

I think anyone can claim to be, or do something. (see sig:eek::D)

Not me.Trad is more difficult to master, there are plenty of people that hunt in a harder way then I do. You would have to have a pretty bad self esteem or worried what others think not to be able recognize your not alway's "the man".
