what would you do
there is this guy who sneaks onto our property and hunts(we have cot him) and have found several of his stands (so we tore them apart) and the other day he asked to put his horses on our land and we said know because we want our land to be thick and nasty for deer.....anyway we went up there the other day and found his horses on our land so we cut our fence ( for the deer:D) and they happened to come out.....so last week we went up there to check on our new fence that was being finished and was about a mile long....that jerk had cut every wire on our fence between every fence post![:@]we called the local sheriff and told him what happened and he saidthat he is on our side (because this guy is a big jerk) and that he is 99.9% sure it was him....the bad thing is that we cant prove it so what would you do in this situation, maybe put trail cameras up right by where he sneaks onto our land or something else.....
o for an ending note......This guy put up a stand facing our property and cut trees down on our property so he could look into our fields |
RE: what would you do
Arrest him for the trees, sue him for 3 times the trees worth, I think that's the going rate.
I would stop at nothing to nail a dirt bag like that! Fight fire with fire, chainsaw down the tree his stand is in that has your trees cut. You know, be neighborly. ;) |
RE: what would you do
Honestly I'd just tread lightly around someone like that.
Simple fact of the matter is that scum bags like that cat always get what is coming to them... you just need to make sure you are inside when the sky falls to land on him.... ie.. don't try and catch him or mess with him... he'll get whats coming to him... the sherriff knows whats up.... he will no doubt get his shortly. Sorry to hear about the trouble... nothing more frustraiting than bad neighbors. |
RE: what would you do
I would find a way to lock that ba#%@^# up so you wouldn't have to deal with him
|
RE: what would you do
Robs right, just not discreet enough, once you have proof nut him and his children.[:o]
|
RE: what would you do
Personally, I'd outsource andhire Droptine249 - and let him take care of the problem. LOL
|
RE: what would you do
go human hunting and shoot him with a camera. :)
|
RE: what would you do
whoop his ass!:D
|
RE: what would you do
Find a cop you trust and plant drugs in the guys car and have him pulled over. Usually cops that hunt but have no place to go bite.

RE: what would you do

RE: what would you do

|
RE: what would you do
THERE IS SO MANY WAYS YOU CAN GET HIM BACK BUT I JUST DON T WANT TO POST THEM CAUSE I HAVE USED A FEW.I will say tree stand failiures can happen if not installed on the tree properly that is not one I have used though.

RE: what would you do
Just follow the words of Theodore Roosevelt "Let us speak courteously, deal fairly, and keep ourselves armed and ready."
|
RE: what would you do
Selling the horses wouldn't be a bad deal, then you could buy more hunting stuff!! What is a horse worth anyway???
|
RE: what would you do
give the horses away. Any of his stands on your prop cut him down put up trail cameras around the fence. To get him cuaght cutting your fence. I have arrested and sue for damages or sale the horses for repairs. Just make sure when going out to have a pistola on ya not to start anything but some people are crazy.
|
RE: what would you do
You should have called the proper authority when you first saw those horses on your property. That way you could have had proof of what's going on. This guy sounds like a real smacked a$$![:'(]
|
RE: what would you do
i'd go over to his house and kick his ass.
|
RE: what would you do
You would have been better off letting the law handle it from the beginning. Those type things can get pretty nasty. You know what they say about stirring crap;)What he is doing is wrong but believe me every time you do something to retaliate will only make things worse.

RE: what would you do
Back in the day you may have been able to settle things by leaving him beaten and bloody in a ditch, but in todays world, you have to be really carefull of settling scores that way. In a sue happy world, he could spin things around and it would be HIS property.
|
RE: what would you do
Horses.....? Horses are expensive!:D
Next time his horses are on your property call the Dog/Horse catcher, you know, animals at large. I would keep calling the cops and they'll get sick of the calls coming in day after day and maybe do something! Worth a try! |
RE: what would you do
I know it wouldn't be right but,if you catch him in he's stand during deer season sneak in with a chainsaw start it up and put it close to the tree like you were going to cut it down . Then tell him this it's your last chance fool stay off my land are you and the stand are coming down together. That should scare the h'''''''''' out of him .Sorry just a thought:D:D
|
RE: what would you do
sounds like he just wants to help you out, you know with the deer:D get evidence like pictures and make complaints, best hurting a man can take is in his wallet.
|
RE: what would you do
Go and set your stand about 7 feet higher than his and wait, then when he climbs up there in the early morning just before daybreak, get real close to him and whisper, "peek-a-boo". that'll scare the s**t out of him.
