Sweet, gotta get them rifle hunters off !!
???? Sounds like they had permission first. Bow season in this part of New York is set in the best time of the rut so he has the best time of the year to hunt it.

RJ congrats on the property pick up.

Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to spending some time out at this place. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll get out there to hike a bit and get some work done for the landowners.

As far as the rifle hunters, I'm not so concerned with them. Around here you won't get a place without them anyhow unless you own the property or lease. To not have to compete with other bowhunters though is awesome, and I'll have first crack at everything the whole way through the rut. My only concern is I'm not sure what kind of deer these guys are shooting, if they are passing the 1.5 year olds or not. We will see and I will post up more when I can.

Also, Duramax.......sending you a PM.

Congrats Matt. A friend I met at school here offered me a chance to hunt with him on his property in the Greenville area, I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to your shop at least one more time before the semester ends. Congrats again on scoring some land to hunt.

That's great bud. I remember your journals about all the road trips in the past. They are still fun, but it's great to have a place like that close that after a hard week at work or something you can just get up in the morning and go. Also, in the early season, it may not be too far for an afterwork hunt. depending when you work till. Good luck with it.
