Congrats on the land,
I personally choose some of the Knight and Hale friction calls - It is the yella hammer sounds ok And you may want to try an expandable for the birds - |

Be sure to get the correct shells/turkey loads that is required by in your State to shoot Turkeys with and about 2 decoys (a Hen and a Jake or Tom).Lots of guys hunt on the ground or behind a natural blind (fallen tree/limbs etc..) to get a turkey but a CamoBlind is nice to help conceal you and help keep you out of the weather if it is nasty outside, rainingor windy/cold! ;) Good Luck Turkey Hunting

We carry Double Bulls, and a few other brands of blinds at the shop, but I have to say, this blind is the nicest for the money. It's nice and roomy, we have a last years model that we hunt out of shop owner, a buddy and myself. We can easily fit 3 of us in it. The only difference between this years and last years, is last years is taller.
http://shop.primos.com/pc-1145-136-the-eclipse.aspx As far as calls, it sounds like Jeff has you hooked up. If not, look at the Primos line of calls. I like the Ol' Betsy slate call, and a few mouth calls to look at are the A-Fram Double Bat cut, this call is flat out awesome. The A-Frame Double Reed with Double Cut is a good one too. My favorite is probably the Tony Ruiz signature series, triple reed w/ Bat Cut. |
