(QUIZ) Your weekly bow kill quiz from Michigan
HA....interesting twist guys...lets QUIZ each other on a topic we all may think we know our stuff on...we may be able to have some good learning on something like this...
Here we go:
A big doe comes in broadside and you make full draw with no issues...mamma is still relaxed....you release your arrow and you're not quite sure where you hit her..
She bounds off ... like she is not hit...at 40 yards she is hunched up and her tail is laying flat tight between her legs.....she slowely walks off with her ears back hunched up and tail low...
Where did you hit this deer?

I'm thinkin the guts......Deer will often hunch up like that, and walk off slowly, after a gut hit. Let 'er go AT LEAST 8 hours, and don't push her. Hopefully she'll die where she beds...

Don't shoot hers (not that there is anything wrong with that). Never had a gut shot, but I am saying all post are correct. Check the arrow for slick, green or an fowl odor. If it still appears a gut shot, wait at least 6 hours before attempting to retrive an hope for the best.
