I will be the first to say, the Patriot was a great bow. I just like how John builds them;)

Well I just got in from setting stands, I amready to go, I have a few to put up on the river, but I have to wait for the river to go down.
I found a shed of a deer, and I know his name;). Will post later. Head to shoot the ROSS and sight in with my new arrows. 3D Tomorrow.

I hope no one gets the impression that this is a shot that can or should be taken by the average guy and there have been numerous posts where theshooter would have been pillered and tarred and feathered.

I don't doubt for even one second that the set up and the hunter were up to the job at hand but I am really stunned that no one thinks breaking bones with a bow is generally not a good option.

I hope the shot does not become more acceptable dependent on who takes it but I guess in the real world it does as some hunters put in the time to take it while so many drag their bows of the shelve a week prior to the opener.

Joint, knuckle, whatever you want to call it your not going to penetrate it! It don't matter what set up you have. It looks like you were an inch or 2 above it Germ. You did put the arrow where it had to be though, risky but nice shot. Experience helps in your situation.

He was 5-6 inches above the joint and a little behind it as well Schultzty. IMO not a bad shot with his set up.
