How much have you spent on huntin?
 

My wife found all my old reciepts of stuff ive bought for huntin. I didnt believe her when she said it was a little over 15000 dollars for the past ten or so years. I told her she was lucky I aint rich or it would have been a crap load more.

Anyone else ever figured out what they spent on hunting or fishing?

I would be scared to figure out how much I spend on my outdoor hobbies.

I mentioned it either to Kyle or Bols on the phone the other day... I grossed about 16k last year (not a lot, but I didn't work a full year) about 75% of that went into buying things that revolve around my obsession. [&:]

$ 1000 gas, propane, food, misc.

$11800 / 110 lb. of deboned venison = $107.27 per lb.:D

is this question for this year alone or lifetime ,eighther way its a lot more then15000 just this year alone but why bother asking since all of us are on a different budget unless it makes you feel better that some of us are in a bigger boat then you.
The outdoors get my blood stiiring more then anything after working in nyc concrete jungle so to me i call it self therapy my spending that is

I couldn't possibly do that to myself. Last fall I went through my paypal account for 1 year. It totaled up around $4,000. That was just on ebay....:eek:

More than I want to know and damn sure more than I want my wife to know. That is why I always tell the guys as the bow shop to throw my copy of the receipt away. Hell, I have bows in the basement that she don't know about yet. I sure hope she does not log on here!

I spent about $800 in fur trapping and coon hunting last year. Id say deer hunting was at around $400.

Just since '05 alone, I've spent 20K on bowhunts in Alberta. Last Decmy Silverado 4x4 relieved me of 17K. I have no idea what I've spent on this sport since starting in '75. Tree stands, bows/cases, trail cams, video cam, and the list goes on and on and on.:DYou only live once!!;)

I hear you... I averaged that per year for several years... I just posted an interesting post on the falling dollar to what hunters are spending now... $15K = about a ton of fillet migion...but alot of great lasting memories..

outdoor sports total around 32,000

a boat, 4 different bows, arrows and accessories for all the bows 5 grand in tackle and rods and reels, and of course all of my hunting stuff I have found out there isnt anything that i need other than new strings and cables for my bow and vanes thats it. Its said when you look at a magazine like bass pro or something like that and there isnt anything in there you want because you have it. My wife would love to kill me and sell all of my stuff.

Deer Camp alone cost about $750-1000/yrfor gas,groceries,beer,etc. Been there on my own for 19 yr now. Then figure in archery eq, camo,license,etc. Now I have wife and 12 yr old hunting, more of everything. I would say well over $20 large. Thats just deer hunting, now lets talk bird hunting. About 2000 miles year, motels and oh yes dog food! She is 10 now and on my second dog. $500-750 in dog food/yr plus the ol vet bills. Wow! What is that close to $50 large?

I'm probably the exception on how much I've spent.

Sure it cost to hunt but I haven't spent near the money some of you have.

I got into Trad and now make my own selfbows. I have alot of time in them but little to no money. I build Rivercane arrows and have minimal money in them as well.

Licences and deer processing over they years have cost me some. I haven't bought anything big like an ATV. I do have a camper but it wasn't for hunting...

still I've spent a good bit over the years probably under 3k though,,,not including gas to and from my spots

In the last yr alone I have spent $2,200 for a bear hunt, $2,000 for a bear mount, $2,000 on a osceola hunt, $500 on a rio hunt $300 dollars in trail cams, batterys, film, memory cards, etc. $500 in corn, mineral licks, and supplements. $150 on tree stands, $400 on a double bull blind, arrows, broadheads, camo, bullets, shells, decoys, tags, gas, freezer paper, and more taxidermy, OH CRAP! I better find a second job

In 22 years.....probably 22,000 bucks....love it. Don't tell the wife....I do the bills...

ALOT BUT IF I HAD MORE MONEY I WOULD SPEND ALOT MORE NO REGRETS ITS THE ONLY THING I AM TRULY AT PEACE AND HAPPY WITH I ONLY FEEL RIGHT IN THE WOODS HUNNTING THE REST OF THE TIME I AM JUST BORED MONDAINE
