I do not take a lot of extras into the woods - most important thing to watch is the wind and I also like to hunt high- very very few products I believe in and the only one that I feel I need to take is deer dander by fitzgerald

I am a firm believer in sound hunting strategies- watching the wind, entry/exit routes, hunt high as possible considering foliage, don't use a lot of gimmicks

Your brain is the best piece of equipment you can take into the woods.

Woodsmanship kills more deer than any product or gadget ever will.

woodsmanship cannot be replaced by a tool if the name of the game is getting close.

I wouldn't like to hunt half as much as I do now if I relied so heavily on an inanimate object to kill a deer....I love to use my brain, hunting is very magical to me. If someone gave me an instrument that sees all the bucks in the woods every time I hunted, I wouldn't use it(ok maybe once )...but you get my point.

Strategy is the clear winner. All of the gadgets in the world won't help you kill a deer, unless you pay to have one put in front of you.

The only gadget that has helped me kill a deer isa grunt call. Brings bucks in sight but out of range, into range. I'd rather put myself in the right spot, than rely on a "gadget" to get a deer.
