Another cool thing about the new land....

I had asked a lady last year to turkey hunt.....that owns some land that abutts the land I just got access to. She delayed, delayed, delayed on giving me an answer.....and I just let it go. No biggie.

Last night....while scouting.....I noticed a treestand on her property. NOW I get to go back and ask her who's hunting it......and while I'm there I'll have a better chance of her giving me a straight answer.

I'm simply going to tell her that I'd like to talk to whomever's hunting there.....so that there's no hard feelings.....and so we're not hunting right on top of one another. See......whoever's hunting there has the food (ag field)....but a LOT of the deer are coming from the land I have access to. So....we need to work together.

Anyways....I thought this might push hertheir hand on giving me a straight answer on turkey hunting......especially if we're all gonna have to work together...........now.;)

Hunting's like poker sometimes, ain't it?

I caught this gobbler and two hens on my way out, yesterday.

Around here I can get permission to turkey hunt easier than to deer hunt. Farmers hate turkeys worse than deer, at least here.

Here too, the turkeys raise heck with seed corn and oats.
