RE: Wearing Glasses While Shooting ?
Lady Forge, wearing glasses is not the end of the world. I' ve been wearing them for 35 years. I tried contacts but just couldn' t get used to something in my eyes. I' m thinking about the lasik but at about $800 per eye, I think I' ll wait. As far as my glasses fogging up, I only have a problem when it' s cold and wearing a face mask. I just keep my nose uncovered. I still haven' t found a product that

RE: Wearing Glasses While Shooting ?
i recently found out how bad i needed glasses too(about a yr. ago)at first i couldn' t shoot with them but with practice and sliding them tight against my face i could.target shooting isn' t a problem but while hunting having to focus on the target and remebering to slide my glasses up became a real problem.so i inquired about contacts.i too have a severe astigmatism and the contacts aren' t cheap.(about 80 bucks for a 2 mo. supply) so i wear them only when i' m shooting or hunting that way they will last all year.it does take some getting use to to wear the contacts but i much prefer them to my glasses.

RE: Wearing Glasses While Shooting ?
Thanks for all the advice folks. I did find a product called Shinize( anti fog-anti static ) so hopefully this will work. Ive been walking around all day sick to my stomach from feeling dizzy from the new glasses the Doc said this should pass in a couple of days after I get used to them, I hope so cause Im tired of pucking.
But on a happier note Im seeing great. I told the doc that I have been shooting around 282 to 289 out of 300 on the indoor shoots with the bad eyes, cant wait to see how I shoot now with the new glasses.:) |
RE: Wearing Glasses While Shooting ?
basserman,
Sometimes, when aiming with both eyes open as I have done in the past also, the left eye (I' m RH' d) would pick up the sight pin over the right and the pin would be blurry. When I use a patch over the left eye, it makes the sight picture clearer. That is what the heck I' m talking about. |
