Almost done........
 

Apparently my buck was mounted 2x days ago and is currently drying.........[8D].

The taxidermist is only a few miles away from Dan's cabin and we were alreadyplanning to go there this weekend for some logging and to find out where the birds are.On our way home, we will plan to stop andlook at it/take pictures..........and if it dries quickly I may even get to pick it up. Can't wait!! This is my first one!

awesome!! i know the feeling!!

my taxi told me a couple days ago my form is in and he gotta tan the hide and mount it and said "REAL SOON" so he got me excited to say the least!!! my first as well...my first bowkill period. only got to see those antlers a short time...killed it saturday morning..drug a mile back to camp..caped it...hung the head and cape from the deck...admired it most of the day and night...sunday we left camp..i took it to a butcher and he stored the head and cape for me in his freezer...came home friday with it..put it in my freezer a few hours..took it out to show it off to my crew...then to the taxis....figured it was safer to leave the rack with him...we moved in nov and between moving, remodeling, etc i just thought it was best to leave them at his place....cant wait....

My pain is just about over........Mine was mounted 3 weeks ago. I figure I will get the call any day now. :)
