ARC
I am thinking of getting one of the new Angled range compensated rangefinders - thye automatically compensate for the angle from your treestand to your target -
I haven't used one since I have been bowhunting - but on field edges the range can sometimes decieve you - anyone have one or thinking of getting one |
RE: ARC
I don't buy it.
I use a range finder to range things around me, shoot THAT yardage. Hasn't been a problem. Maybe if you're about 40feet up it would come into play. |
RE: ARC
Don't waste your money if they are more expensive for bowhunting. A standard laser is perfect within a yard.
At standard bowhunting heights, there is never more than 2 yards differences. Buy a standard one, worst case, minus a yard and pound them. |
RE: ARC
You also have to put your arrow weight, arrow fps, etc, etc, it is really complicated.

RE: ARC
Thanks guys - scratch that off the list of wants

RE: ARC
Yep, unless you're hunting mountain goats or something like that, I think you're wating your money. Most treestands aren't high enough to use that technology.

RE: ARC
But then again, If you are in the market for a new rangefinder, why NOT get one with this extra feature? Who knows, maybe you will hunt in the mountains some day whereit would come into play.
If you already have one, dont waste your money. If you are getting your first, why not get the extra technology for the same price? |
