Magic if you can make a nice size sand pit then take some wireand make a wire hanger in front ofit and hang a paper plate or something and it just goes right into the sand. Makesit a lot cheaper. IfI can get to the public range by me I will take a pic and post it for you.

Get a good BH target and continue to shoot them. It is better to know once hunting season rolls around.

I shoot my BH's exclusively starting around 3 months out from the season. They tear up my target, but I just buy a couple of cheap ones or a high quality one that will last me the whole season. I get paranoid and don't want any changes to mentally affect me when I get a shot at a deer because they are so few and far between.

However, a few years ago, I had an old Bear Whitetail hunter bow....that thing was do damn bulky, but I swear, my BH's and field points almost shot identical out of the bow, both from the ground and from the tree....I have never reproduced that set up, but dang it felt good because my confidence was so high. That bow also only had like a 50% let off and weighed a ton, but I shot a great(for my neck of the woods) buck through a very small opening at 34 yards....loved that bow.

Used to do it that way magicman. I broadhead tune now so the site is the same for both. As for targets, good luck. I have yet to find a BH target that will last longer than a year. I've tried most all of them.

I've went to buying a couple of the cheap off brand targets every year. Usually cheaper to get two or three of them a year than a single Block or Cube and the lifespan is the same.

I shoot a lot so I shoot FP's all offseason up to about Aug 1st. The I start shooting BH's a lot. My FP's and BH's hit the same place but I think you need to practice with BH's before using them. I have pounded my rinehart 18:1 target with BH's and it has held up extremely well. The way it is setup, you can shoot at the off angle bulls and the center bull and that way you can shoot 3-4 BH arrows before removing them. I also have a morrell BH target and it has held up pretty well too.
