That's a lot of arrows to shoot at one time.

VA.....it'll be strictly the longbow until I take a deer with it.....even if that's all year.

The only exception is......if I get a bruiser on the new property on a summer feeding pattern and see an opportunity. Then I would take the compound. I expect to be in my woods, here, opening day.....longbow (only) in hand.
That is admirable Jeff. I too have been thinking of trying that soon. Looks like you are way out in front of me tho.

Looks like good shooting to me Jeff, keep it up! I tried shooting today for the 1st time after hurting my shoulder 2 months ago, its still bothering me [&o]

It may be a compound for me this fall. Drawing doesnt really bother me, its holding the weight that is giving me trouble.

I probably shot 60-80 shots with the longbow, today. I'm ery confident from 10yds. 15-20yds is marginal. SO .....it'll be 10 yds and in for me with this bow, this year.

What a relief to shoot this thing.....after the 3D stuff I've been doing (technical aspects of archery).

I had a blast, today.

Way to go Jeff looking great and god willing I will be able to get around to it soon myself.
Grams went into hosp sat so its always something right now and wearing on the mind.

I had a blast, today.
Tell me about it brother! [:-] It was like a weight was lifted off my back now that my 3D league wrapped up today. I have a 3 day shoot happening here in PA this weekend coming up and it all longbow and recurve! Time to have some FUN.

I may actually be DONE with 3D, period. We'll see. I gave it everything for a while.....and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. We'll see.

Now the longbow........;)

Better start eyeing up a nice 56" take down recurve for the antelope trip.........I'm gonna give it a try.
Might as well get animal #2 on my way to the "Traditional slam" LOL:D
