Vabowman got me thinking

Going off of VAbowman, who got it from GMMATT...
All this talk about when you shot your 1st deer and GMMATT thread about shooting a doe fawn got me thinking...

What was the smallest deer you have killed?
As mentioned before my 1st was a tiny doe, that I swear I must have shot the last spot off = 41lbs. dressed

Now the story behind this is, I went up to the NH / Canadian border to hunt with this guy that has 10 - 200plus pound bucks mounted in his home with the smallest scoring around 125" up to 160". When we went to the checking station after I killed my giant, he was to embarressed to go with me and didn't want anyone to know, as he is well known for his deer hunting accomplishments in town.
To this day I am still very proud of breaking the seal with this little deer, at least I usually get a chuckle or a "I can't believe you shot that" reaction - Tasted Good!

Back at ya - Boyz!;)

No more little ones for me. Nothing against you guys but I just can't bring myself to do it again. Only mature deer meaning spike above 3"'s and up. :D

That's where I'm at now too, but I had a long and winding road to get my 1st.
Certainly lot's of 1st timers broke the seal this way?!!

For me, I will not shoot any yearlings and pretty much nothing under 100 lb. doe or bucks under 3" spikes.
My goal this year is nothing under 3 1/2 year old buck, I've got enough little ones.
