I killed my doe on my first season of bow hunting, luckyI guess but I had been shooting 3D's and what not for 2 seasons before getting into hunting, so I wasn't a newby behind the string.

Nov 1970. I shot a doe while sitting up in a tree on a couple of 2x4's and a piece of plywood with my Grandad who was my childhood hero and the guy that introduced me to the outdoors. I was 10 years old and still remember that day like it was yesterday.

My Grandad died at the age of 62 when I was only 13 years old.

So to all you dads and grandads, take every chance you get to spend quality time with your kids/grandkids, cause we never know how much time any of us we really have.

First bow deer was when I was 14 (fawn doe) - so . . . 14 yrs ago.
First archery buck was at 15 (spike) - 13 years ago.

A wee little buck 3 years ago, rifle season head shot that severed the spine and killed it instantly. It was my second year hunting.

I killed a doe the first year I gun hunted 1988.

I killed 3 deer with a bow in 1992, 2 does and 1 buck. Two years after I started hunting with a bow.
