What would it take to make you kill a doe fawn?

I have no interest in having 8 pages of debate with you.A less than a year old animal is a less than a year old animal regardless of the species. The least aware animal in the woods, the easiest to kill, period end of story.
You continue to cut your teeth on them,I will kill what I want to kill.

You see.....I don't look at it as a "challenge". It's a necessary evil. I've state why I kill them.....and tocompare this practice to thekilling ofother immature species just isn't fair.
That was the reason for my response.
It's not for you. I get it. I do so becuase I NEED to. Has nothing to do with animals I'm trying to target.
Plus....they are tasty.

Bigcountry, you feel that way as well huh? About QDM. I think it's getting a little rediculous. I have seen it in my area get way out of wack. Guys telling kids they can't shoot a doe for their first deer or a 4 pt b/c it's not old enough! Come on QDM, let it go a little bit. Im not saying I go out shoot spikes and 4 pts and small ones every chance ya get, but Im not gonna tell a 14 yr old to hold back on a legal deer if it comes by. Just my thoughts. Bigcountry, it does take the soul sometimes out of hunting. Some may agree, some not, but I kill bucks, nice ones, and I kill lots of does, lots of them. I eat em and my family eats em, we have over 1 million deer in the state of Va, don't think Im hurting the population or do I believe Im changing it. I don't kill 40 a year but I kill enough to eat and get my fill.

BC...VA..I'm beginning to see that I don't have control over NEARLY enough land to make a HUGE difference. But.....I think killing does is something I can do to "help". I see what you guys are saying. I will probably get more and more lax the more I hunt about the "mgmt" aspect. If I were managing 50 sq miles......it would be different.
Anybody I invite into my woods is welcome to shoot anything they want. I'll take their photo....help them drag it out.....help butcher it and give 'em a high five.
I didn't used to feel that way.
I also don't invite just anyone in to hunt.

Jeff I wasn't looking to be an a--hole.You saw in my first post where I stated that my outlook "may" be different if we were over run with deer.I wasn't insulting you,my reply wasn't directed to you or any one else specifically.I said that it was an emotional thing for me,it would bother me to shoot this years born of any species.I understand the biological perspective related to density and habitat, and I do my part, limited by the tags I have.
I wasn't finding fault,it is just not my thing.

Jeff, you shoot what ever you want and don't worry about it, 8 does one 1 buck, 2 bucks , 0 does, who cares, it's your property and your hunt, just like Bigcountry said, noone pays your bills or owns your land, have at it, if you got that many does I say fling em!!!
