Diesel is less refined......least it use to be nowadays they may take more steps to refine it, in a sense gas takes more step to get crude to gas, vs crude to diesel. Though supply and demand I suppose, more gas used in this country, thefore its cheaper, though with more diesel cars/trucks/suv's coming I wonder if diesel will increase even more so, or if itll be chaper since they'll be selling more of it. Also taxation......off road diesel is cheaper than gas I believe...ya know the red stuff, which is just diesel thats red.......same stuff.

You really can't kill the manual 4 cyl. yota's!! Mine is a '94 and still runs perfect! Still has the origanal clutch in it too!!! No problems yet but wouldn't want a newbie learning with it!!

My yoter is my personal truck but on the farm we have always had diesels. We had a Dodge 3500 dually Cummins turbo, and now we have an '05 silverado 2500duramax. Still like the Cummins better but the alison tranny can't be beat!!! Gramps really chewed on me and my cousin when he went out of town the day after he bought the Dodge and the first thing we did was chop the stock exhaust off and run straight pipes!!! Thing sounded awesome!!! But we couldn't drive it for a loooooooooooooooong time!!! LOL!!! I laugh now!!!
Like there's any other way to run it??? Mine's ALL CLEAR from the turbo back. Dodge 2500 QC 4x4 with a tuned up 5.9 Cummins. Never dyno'd it, but should be pushing around 325HP and near 700ft/# of torque, all the while, still getting at LEAST 16mpg, last fill up was 17.88mpg on mixed driving. And I PLAY in it a LOT!!!
