RE: darton 2 1/2 cam
Hey Oz,
I looked at it and as you said different, I really like the CPS system and have been shooting the Darton Pro bows for 10+ years, I would like to get to look at one up close before making my mind up on this one. I am glad I saw this post, as I am planning to get a new before bow season,I will have to look at this new system hard. I thought I had my mind made up to get a new bowtech this year but maybe not....Here in the south Darton is not a popular bow, a lot of the guys here look at me funny when I say Darton, they haven't heard of them except for the lower end bows at academy or bass pro....The reason I bought the Maverick was b/c they said it was the only bow on the market to shoot more kinetic energy than draw weight....it does too @ 70lbs it is shooting like 76 ft.lbs.....I will try to find a dealer down here in the south, so I can put my hands on one of these and check it out... |
RE: darton 2 1/2 cam
I did a little research and there is only one dealer in the state of Texas and he only carries kids bows, doesn't look like I will get to try one out.....Oh well....

I've always enjoy contacting them. Very pleasant and helpful people.

RE: darton 2 1/2 cam
I've always thought Darton had some of the best customer service of any place I have ever delt with. I had a problem with my bow once with the string and cable routing (bow exploded! my fault) and the receptioinist actually helped me out with it. Now that's impressive when the girl answering the phone knows the technical aspects of your bow. Not to mention they sent me all the technical paperwork for my bow and a new catalog the next day without me even asking for it. I wondered why she wanted my phone number and address.
I have talked to other people that have had custom work done by them and were very pleased. I have encountered one or two people that had a bad experience with them though. I guess it happens. Paul |
