Can these heads suffer some kind of unseen damage that would render them inoperable or "less operable" as it may be?
They are VERY simply engineered.

Understood, and that was my impression also but.... annika3 is a rage representative and if he is mentioning that there could be some unseen damage that can cause a malfunction, then it makes me wonder, that's all.

Also, it never made sense to me to reuse a head after using it on an animal, let alone to reuse the same blades? Why with all the time, money and effort that goes into hunting would you even risk using the same broadhead or same blades after using it already? Way to risky in my opinion because you never no what damage has been done to the head that the naked eye can't see and it just might cost you the next time.
LOL, of course you would. :)I would think that as one of the founding partners of Rage that you would LOVE it if everyone took one shot with your heads and then threw them away. :D

And don't go getting your underwear all in a wad, I've really come to enjoy your posting on these Rage threads. Things like that just sort of jump out at me knowing your background that you seem to not want anyone to know. ;)

I'd just like to hear it straight from the horse's mouth.

GMMAT, I've been tryng to get him to admit that for a couple years LOL.

I first noticed a pattern in his posting back then and looked at his profile. He had the name Chad Stoll listed so I googled it. He was one of the founding partners.

I called him on it several times, and he vehemently denied it. 100 percent. Then he took out his last name in his profile so others wouldnt know what i knew.

Here's his bio on one of his websites. Since he doesn't like to tell people himself.

I’ve bowhunted for 26 years and fished for as long as I can remember. I also love to hunt pheasants and waterfowl, especially in Minnesota.
As co-founder of Field Logic, maker of The Block, GlenDel Buck and Rage Broadheads, I’ve hunted, fished or talked hunting land strategies with the likes of Mark and Terry Drury, Jay Gregory, Lee & Tiffany Lakosky, Michael Waddell, Will Primos, Chuck Adams, Tim Miranda, Babe Winkelman and Greg Miller.
I own 360 acres in Kansas and have been an outfitter
and guide. Let me use my background and knowledge
to help you find the right hunting land or lakeshore
property for you.

Now you can go back and figur out why his first 200 posts are all about The block and Rage. ;)And how he doesn't see things in that video that Todd posted.

I can tell you right now....for someone from the RAge company to come here and chastise people for re-using blades is freakin hilarious.....to downright insulting.

If I find out he works for Rage I'll stop buying their products.....unless he's got a helluva excuse for the (if he works there or owns part of it) highly DUMBASS comment (given the circumstances).

That makes a boat load of sense;)

I always choose to stay out of rage threads, but I'll add my 2cents, this time.

My good buddy decided to try rage heads (100 gr 2 blade)

He took 3 shots with them on deer.

1. Opened during flight
1. Didn't open at all
1. Performed

33% of the time they worked.

He was shootinga Mathews switchback 65lbs, proper spined arrows and enough KE. You can't tell me it was "his" fault.

I will never shoot rage heads, not only because my friends failed attemps with them, but because I find fixed blades a far better option.

I will use NAP spitfire GG on turkeys, and thats it.

You guys can shoot what ever you want. Good Luck.

I'm starting to think maybe the shortage of blades was no accident. I mean why sell the blades when people will buy the whole heads. And that's another thing that seems a little shady, there was no shortage of the heads in my area but a shortage of replacement blades. Now I'm no expert but how hard could it be to pruduce xnumber of replacement blades if you already have equipment spitting out the exact same blades for the new packs of broadheads. If you don't recommend reusing the heads why even offer replacement blades in the first place?

wow some of that stuff anika said, might make me switch heads, if its true that he does work for rage. hes really handling this thread the wrong way, and i see that a lot of you feel the same i do. should he really question people for re-using heads, if theyre perfectly fine? im really not happy about it to be quite honest.
