I got 4 Montecs that my concience now prohibits me from ever using again.
Why not Montecs? Don't tell me there's another scandal going on!:D:D
G5 screwed over Ross, and is now rubbing salt in the wound with some unsavory business practice. They also sponsored that joke of a "hunting league" where guys would be shooting deer with tranquilizer arrows on video.[:@]

They don't get a strike 3 for me.
But they never asked why we would ever think of using the same broad head twice? Whew........ it's all good now.:D:D:D:D

Seriously,

I knew about the hunting league ordeal as well as what's going on now with Ross. I just think with this whole Rage issue it's slightly different. Here we have (what I believe to be) one of the company founders and VP of the company hawking his product at every conceivable chance he can here on this site. Then he says the he doesn't like to use the same broad head twice which obviously translates to: "Buy more of my product" and the whole time passing himself off asjust another John Q Public bow hunter.

.......Just doesn't sit well with me.

Sure he hashis ownopinion and ideas as to how to hunt, what gear to use and HOW to use it, but I think someone so vested with the company should try to stay at the very least a little moreabove the fray of shameless plugs and marketing schemes, especially doing it covertly.

I would have way more respect for the man if he would just come out and reveal who he is. Then he can take any position he wants to as far as reusing or not reusing his companies broad heads after they have been through an animal. At least at that point we all know what and who were dealing with. I suspect he hasn't because more people would form the same opinion I have that there is an ulterior motive to his posts and that he would be seen for what he really is......thus the anonymity in the first place.;)

Again, if it's not him then this is all moot.........

Hi,

I am Chad Stoll and founder of Field Logic.

I also have NOT worked for the company since 2006. I am in the process of being bought out by my partner and have had no affiliation with Field Logic, Rage, Rocky Mt, or the BLOCK target since 2006, nor do I benefit.

I simply stated an opinion on reusing blades or BH's. I have always stated, since I started bowhunting in 1982,that Inever reused heads or blades that I have used on taking an animal. Many people on here have said the same thing that "once the broadhead has done its job it is retired".

There is NO alterior motive I have posting about Rage heads other than I think they are a excellent head.

If you want to reuse the Rage or any head or replace the blades and reuse them that is your decision.

I apoligize to everyone if you have been offended or felt like you have been missled by anything I have posted, but again:

I HAVE HAD NO AFFILIATION WITH FIELD LOGIC SINCE 2006.

Annika is right on the money as far as I'm concerned. With all the time and energy put into the game we playwhy bother with an indurance test. I am sure it will do the job but I don't expect to shoot a five dollar 12g 23/4 inch copper solid More than once so why would I bother with a Broadhead.

I also have to say based on my experience MOST guys can not put a decent edge on a knife never mind something as demanding as a thin bladed razor/BH which may be more unforgiving.

Because you can thats why (depending on the BH)! I know my equipment very well so thats why I can re use it if I want to. Sharpening is a breeze if you know what your doing. You might learn something if you try it!
