I was thinking about getting the easton carbon epics..is it a good choice? What broadhead would you use and vanes or feathers?

GEEEEE kristen, do you like them or not! I have been shooting them for 9 months and found them to be pretty good. I have yet to find one that wasn' t straight. The nocks that are supplied are crap but once replaced with the Easton super nock, they are very servicable arrows. I shot a doe at about 24 yrds. with one and she didn' t like them and the arrow was good as new after cleaning and a blade replacement on my Rocket. I have found them not be as tough as my Beaman camo hunters, but if you want to talk about a crappy arrow[:@], the Beaman camo' s are crap. The arrows are good and I would buy the hunters but the camo on them are a night mare. Don

I bought a dozen this past summer. Mine came with Easton nocks, and seem fine. The epics probably don' t compare to some carbons like redlines, or carbon express. But for the price they are decent. I can say they were a upgrade from my last carbons, Cabelas stalker supremes. I had 1 Epic in the dozen that didn' t spin perfectly, but the rest fly great. I did hit a rock head on with one, and it shattered. So that tells me they aren' t as strong as some of more expensive carbons out there.

I personally like the Excels better than the epics, but there both great arrows. I shoot them and see no problem with them. Plus, they odnt break my bank. However, i am gunna switch to Bemans once i run out of these arrows. Thats just cause i change around alot though, not cause i dont like the arrows.

Of all the carbon arrows I' ve tried and disliked, I disliked the Epics least of all. They shot better for me than any of the other brands and the smooth finish on them didn' t wear my prong covers nearly as bad as some others, and definitely easiest to pull from targets if I forgot to lube and shot them a little too dry.
