Come on magicman, for the sake of the poll just place yourself in the scenario.

I guess it would depend on what "I" felt like shooting at the time.....

In other words, if I'm in the stand and alreadyof the mid set to try to killanydecent buck that comes down the pike and thebuck you describe shows up (125in), I'd say to my self "looks like a shooter to me"and I'mletting an arrow/bullet go.

If I'm after a bigger deer, I would have no problem just letting him walk on by. The scenario has absolutely no impact on my decision to shoot or not.....never has. Usually I know pretty much what I'm afterbefore I go hunt and I make "field judgments" from there.

Im not sure what you would do with your 125# deer, but I would have already taken the shot while you think about it.

Probably been halfway out of my stand before you decided!

I take my hunting too serious to hunt somewhere that I know nothing about. Also I always have options of hunting other areas and states.
I will say this: 125 is borderline for me to shoot. Solid 130+ and the arrow would be on its way for sure!

OK, well in that caseI'll humor you, but my imagination is caffeine fueled right now so I will warn you in advance. After I was teleported to the mystery land I had never been on, heard of, or knew anything about I would want to be led to my stand by Angelina Jolie looking like she looked in Beowulf (minus the hair extension dragon tail, I mean since we're using our imagination). After approximately3 minutes she could leave me in my heated blind as the darkness slowly greyed into sunrise the landscapewould looksimiliar to Illinoiowa-Texanada(a little known state in theNortheastern Midwest/Southern District). The deer are in full rutbut even after using my imagination I still couldn't shoot the buck because when I tried to draw on himthe doe I didn't see spooked and blew him out of the area, typical. I wastedall that imagination just to spook a buck butat least I saved on gas this time.

Where the hell is Angelina?Oh yeahit was just my imagination......running away with me(in my best Temptations karaoke voice).
