Moultrie Game Spy (needs a recall Or something)
I have a Moultrie game spy 3.0mp. When the temp gets below freezing it stops taking pics. I had a fresh rub last year right in front of my cam and guess what no pic. I thought maybe its just my camera but a couple buddies were having the same trouble. Anybody else having the same. I am going to contact the company and try to get a refund I guess

I almost bought 2 of the moultrie D40's today. I have seen good reviews on them, as well as sample pictures, and they are decent on my wallet!
Let us know what they say! I may hold off on buying them!

I have a couple of the D40's and they seem to be OK during cold temps as long as the batteries are in good shape. I've been pretty happy with them.
Did have some problems with the 3.0MP though. But temp didn't seem to be the problem as it was even happening early fall...

I have the Moultrie D40, and I think it is a great camera for the money. But I do have to say that the battery life sucks in mine. I am going thru a set of 6 batteries in less than 2 weeks. I talked to a guy that sells the Moultries, (but not the D40)[:@]and he told me that soomething is not right, and that I should contact Moultrie and they will probably send me a new one.

I also have Moultrie products. If it is below freezing, your camera is not guaranteed to work. Any battery in below temps suffer..thats just the way it is. You guys are right..great camera for the monie. You could spend $100-$300 more, but that will not solve the Below freezing problem.
