I didnt know it until yesterday when i got my new issue of D&DH. there is a picture on pg 40 of a deer eating his velvet.

Yes, I knew that as well as did you know that deer in general will seek out and eat meat if available?

I knew this. I believe I saw it on a show called the year of the whitetail. Their might be one of the trailcam sites that have pics too. Not sure.

I believe the does also eat the afterbirth too,(actually don't most all female wild animals?)

Deer are herbivores so never heard of that but who knows out in the wild.

Yes they do,I would guess that is because of the salt taste content.
