RE: Biggest whitetail buck
I know one I saw scored 188 3/8 gross. I saw himon Saturday a few years back and the neighbor got him on Sunday.
But I think I saw a big non-typical that would out score that one. Never heard of anyone killing him in the area. |

I've seen a few that were easily in the 170-190 range.

I seen a buck2 years ago that was a jaw dropper, walking perfect down the runway and stopped behind a big tree, here comes a fourwheleer threw the woods and it was my neighbor and he ran off, never seen him again, he was around 170 and let me tell ya, i gave my neighbor a BIGGGGGGGGGGG talk when i got out of the tree.

i saw one with my dad while hunting that was every bit of 165"

ORIGINAL: peakrut Crap I did shoot at a 180's in IL and hit a barb wire fence that was 6 inches above the fence.3 weeks a later a chicago bear shot him and it was scored in the mid 180's. This was back in 1992 when I got my first bow buck kill in IL. I think this was also the year I met the Great Walter Payton who was bowhunting a local hot spot in Northeastern, IL. I remember running into theHouse/mansion me and my father rented and telling him HEY WALTER PAYTON is out there and he was like big deal. Dad being hard core packer backer I guess.:D |

I saw this buck twice while bowhunting. He scored 193" 13 Pointer.
He was at like 50 yards and 60 yards when I was bowhunting and never offered a clean shot. This was actually after my neighbor wounded him a month before. Shot him a little high. Guy across the road ended shooting him opening night of gun hunting. He wasn't even a big hunter which made me mad. All the scouting I did for this big guy and he justs shoot him with the gun.
