The successful Turkey Hunter...

How do you prepare your bird?

Full trimmings and such, or differently?

My only birds were fall birds and we kinda made turkey nuggets deep fried, southern style, it was great that way.

Deep fried or (now) on the pig cooker (indirect heat).

Either way is fine.....

Marinate the breasts and BBQ them. Or Teriyaki or a speidi marinade.

Last year we grilled one breast that I rubbed with the same rub I use for my briskets, turned out real well. The other one I cut up into nuggets, marinated them, then grilled them too. Both were very good, can't beat the wild turk!

Chicken fried breasts, grilled breasts, and other parts become turkey & rice soup.

Had deep fried for the first time a few years back, but love it. Had one with hot wing marinade, and it was amazing! Beer can turkey is also good, but easier to do with chicken breasts (unless you shoot a small hen or jake).

I like cutting the Breast into strips, and beating them with a tenderizing mallet. Then roll'em in flour and deep fry. Finger Lickin Good!!:D

Roll em in egg and thena flour-cajun spice mix and deep fried.

Or slice off some breast meat. Put it on a hickory stick and hold it over an open fire. Baste with a little melted butter and seasoned salt. MMMMMMMMMMMMM TASTY.

My mouth is watering just typing it.
