RE: Whisper Creek
Ishot an Innovator Pro this week and must say it is one of the nicest shooting bows I have shot in a while. Smooth draw, very little vibration or hand shock, and fast. I am suprised you don't hear more about these bows.

RE: Whisper Creek
I am not commenting on these bows but I neeed to use this to transfer a paper over to my school since i have no way to save it. So please just ignore this post or read it if u wanna know something about russian history and peter the great.
As a child Peter became brutal in many ways. He suffered from convulsions and brain attacks. But this didn't stop Peter from becoming a great, powerful leader about to boost Russia into self evolution. As Peter grew older he became even more threating, at about 6' 8" this man child would often take care of Russian's dirty work himself. Being a true alcoholic didn't help much during his reign but worked as a good stress reliever. A couple years into Peter's reign he noticed a lack of technology among Russia. Being that he always had a fondness of the western civilization Peter took matter into his own hands. For two years Peter ventured into Europe disguised as a meer peasant or worker, although it didn't change his clothing much. Peter proceeded to use his whole heart and soul in effort to give to Russia. While in europe Peter Learned about many things. He worked in a ship yard building ships to learn proper ship building and also studied Navigation as he rode along with a Britain ship occasionally navigating himself. He learned better mathematics and better military fortification. He also learned about coffin building which goes hand in hand with military considering being drafted was a 25 year death sentence in Russia. Dentistry, Surgery, and Theology were all things he brought back to Russia in hope of a better country. One of the most remarkable and ingenious items he studied while in Europe was clock making which was probably the biggest contributer to Russian technology because of its complex gears and mechanics. All these things capitalized his idea of taking after all of Europe in thought, word and mind. Peter, who thought western civilization was the one thing to boost Russia into a new age, was so obsessed he banned beards and long cloaks because they imitated the old insuccessful eastern civilization. This choice of western civilization may have not been the entirely right decision but it put Russia into place and back on the right track. Peter changed the calendar and alphabet by simply throwing out letters that weren't really needed. To really set Russia on track to a new civilization Peter decided it would be best to replace the old capital with a new western capital, St. Petersburg. This was considered as the window to the west, placed within throwing distance of Charles' powerful Swedish army. This didn't stop Peter who greatly wanted a warm water port also. Charles decided to wait until after the new city was built to ruin it. After Russia completed the "City built on Bones" which was placed strategically on a swamp Charles attacked. Although Charles was outnumbered 5 to 1 he still succedded. This didn't shake Peter, he simply obliged and went back drafting 40,000 more men so he could learn from his mistakes and come back and win. After charles made the mistake of travelling to far into Russian territory Peter attacked again this time with only a 3 to 1 advantage. He succedded and charles and his army were stopped. Peter had the officers of Sweden gathered and treated them to dinner before he gladfully sent them back to their home country commending them of their hard fought war. This just showed how grateful of a leader Peter was. As Peter aged he was forced to find a predeccessor to his thrown. His son backed out of the responsibility. At the end of his life many Russians accused Peter of an antichrist, faulting in the draining efforts of the long lasting swedish war. One stormy day at a port in late fall a ship was beggining to sink and peter desperatly swam into to the almost freezing ocean out of no insanity to simply save his men. When he himself was finally rescued out he got hypothermia. As Peter's sickness grew stronger he grew weaker but thoughts of Russia and the next leader were still in his head. One day lying in his death bed he asked someone for a pencil and paper so he could write down the next future leader. As he grasped the pen and paper the instant the pen made contact with paper Peter dropped it and lay there dead with the unwritten leader nowhere to be found. This ending of a true leaders life only magnifies his want and ability to give all to his country in hope of true evolution. Russia's great expansion from the 11th to the 18th centuries left a mark upon world history where leaders like Ivan the Terrible, Prince Vladimeer, and Peter the Great catapolt it into a period of expansion. With great influences from the Mongols Russia gained the heartless but powerful trait of brutality. As the evil side of Russia moved into Peter the great, a new idea of Western civilization created a stable nuetrality among Russia. From the 11th to the 18th centuries Russia experienced one of the greatest evoltionary and expansive rules of all time. |

From the 11th to the 18th centuries Russia experienced one of the greatest evoltionary and expansive rules of all time. I have never shot one of these bows either but I hear good things about them.... Lets see if I understand this so far; Anoversized butal man named Peter, after consuming large amounts of alcohol, left home and traveled all over Europe to learn the right technology in order to build an exceptional bow. He then comes home, gets in some fights andbans anyone with facial hair from working in his bow factory. Heswims in a "creek" gets sick and is about to die but hasn't named his creation (the bow company). In the final stages of his illness he comes up with the perfect name but he can't speak above a whisper so they give him a pencil and paper to write the name of the company down. The minute the pencil hits the paper he "croaks" which would of course seem like the end of the story. But apparently the marketing department had a meeting with the research and developing department considered the circumstances that brought them to this point and thus Whisper Creek was born...;) ....Wow and we thought the story of the Bowtech guy hooking up with the Martin girl was a good tale!:D |
RE: Whisper Creek
This might be the strangest hijacking of a thread I ever saw.[8D]

RE: Whisper Creek
I own a Whisper Creek Navigator and would definitely buy another one should I ever decide to change bows. Very fast, very quiet and little vibration with nothing but a Sims S-coil and string leaches added.
