The most reliable truck for bowhunting?
#22
I voted for Chevy/GMC and here is why. I know countless numbers of people that have had their chevy trucks over 300,000miles. My first truck was a GMC that had 300,000 miles on it when i bought it. I was 16 and it was cheap, but man did that truck have life left in it. I put another 50,000 miles on it atleast until i got rear ended by a tow truck. The frame was bent and the bed was crinkled quite a bit, but I drove it 10miles home from the tow company after being wrecked. It just didn want to give up. My dad's GMC sierra has about 225,000 miles on it and is still going strong. I will tell you straight up that I will never buy a Ford because I think they are cheaply built and crap, but I think a lot of chevy people will say the same. But I will also say that there are numerous amounts of Toyotas out there that have amazing lifespans. I think they are a great truck, and if the new ones are built anything like the old ones they are going to be aaround for a long time.

FORDS ONLY...for my hunting truck (F-350) and for my plumbing business. I get more mileage per dollar spent on my fleet than any other truck..we used to have Dodges that were pretty good, and with Chevys we had trouble keeping trannys working. I had to stock transmissions for my Chevys. I have 3 Ford trucks that are creeping up on 300,000 with no major problems. These trucks do 150-200 miles a day.

I have a two horse trailer, my Chey light 3/4 tin350 gas does a OK job. When I pulled my father in laws 4 horse trailer this year I got horriable gas miliage. I can see myself getting a nice diesel on the road. We need to hook up one of these years and put the smack down on some Idaho bulls.

I currently drive an 04F350 but would drive any truck really, as long as it could fit my bow, tree stand and deer in it [8D]. Ive had several drag race car that have always been Chevys. Im not manufacturer biased lol.
