What would happen to your arrow, if you had one straight helical, one as hard as you can Right, and one hard as you can Left??

You wouldnt be driving nails, you would be driving a sailboat.....visualize a round (lengthwise) arrow with those things on it...

I'm pretty sure the left and right helical would work against each other, causing cavitation, and a really, really crappy flying arrow.

What I was getting at was the left and right helical would work together (as they are on oposing sides of the arrow) to push the back end to one side. Basically, you would have a sail, causing your arrow to curve in flight.....which then would allow you to shoot around obstacles[8D]

You certainly wouldn't have a very good SPIN on the arrow with is what stabilizes arrow flight to give us those nice shots out to 60+ yds. Might be ok out to 15-20 yds, but not anything I'd ever recommend.

Just watch a bottle rocket with half the stick broken off fly..... I suspect you'd have about the same result.
