mean v string supressor

Does the mean v string supressor replace the string supressor on the the bowtech general. I just got the general "great bow" but after 50 or so shot you can hear string slap.

yes, the Meanv mounts opposite side of your stabilizer, where as the factory can then be removed, Dan(creator) isaround here somewhere he can help with any questions.

I guess what I'm asking iscan you take the factory supressor out and install the mean v in the same hole

I don't have a General so I'm just talking here. But isn't the suppressor on with the roller guard. I know you can remove the suppressor and leave the roller guard intact. But I'd be leary of adding any extra weight at that point. It may void the bowwarranty??

I think it would be a different thread size and probably be a "special" item for Meanv ? Dunno I saw him lurking here.

I've seen others remove the suppressor and add the meanv in the "other" place.

The supressor is on a rod that slides into a slot behind the roller gaurds. It is attached by two allen screws. Also should the bowtech supressor by lined up exactly with the string or be off center. I've heard both

No, you cannot take off the factory suppressor and mount the MeanV the same place. Dan's (MeanV) suppressor fits in the factory installed thread hole on the riser opposite the stabilizer. You can however remove the factory suppressor and use the MeanV at the lower hole.

The Generals suppressor should be centered, the Airbornes should be a strings width off of center, left for a right handed shooter.

I can build a suppressor for the lower hole. The top takes a little doing if you have any questions PM me or call.
