Dang....almost here. Turkey season in less than 40 days.

How 'bout you?....and are you going after them "bow-only"? (nothing against scatter-gunnin'.....we're just in the bowhunting forum);)

47 days left until the season opens here. Going to try to make it a bow only season allyear longfor the first time..... Hopefully I will have some luck, but it will be fun either way.:D

I can't get excited about turkey hunting with snow still falling and making navigation almost impossible. LOL Our season doesn't open for 2 months.

I'm going this year - lot of birds in stokes Co, got the DB out of the building Sun afternoon, but have to get some replacement poles 3 or 4 were cracked - so after I get that fixed will be ready and yep bow only -

I'll be out this year as well in full force, should be in the woods every weekend from the PA opener till NY is closed. I won't be bowhunting only, as I'll be spending the majority of my season calling and getting others on birds, but you can bet that I will be putting in some time with the bow before the fat lady sings this year. I don't know if I'll top last years bow bird, but I'm going to give it heck. I've got 15 on the property this year that if they made it through the winter will all be 3+ year old birds. [8D] They are pretty dumb and unpressured as well at this time, so hopefully we can let the air out of a few of them.

24 more days here in my region of Tx. I will go after the first one with a BP shotgun on Tx public land. After that all attempts will be with a bow. I don't think I'll even bring the gun to New Mexico. That will be all bow. I got a call from the Forest Service biologist for the Ruidoso NM area. He told me where to find birds there and gave me his cell number and told me to call when I get there if I can't find any. Hes willing to put me on them. I was pretty pumped by that call. All from sending an e-mail to the USFS.

I hunt them bow-only in the fall;). Spring is for the shotguns. My Benelli SBE with a 2X power scope is not very nice to the turkeys in the spring:)

35 days and counting. I'll use the Browning Gold on my first turkey as I'll be taking my son and want to make sure he gets to be a part of a harvest. After that I'll concentrate on a bow kill.

27 days for me. This year'sgoal is/was to shoot a turkey with recurve, but a wrist injury has prevented me from shooting for the last 6 weeks. I am about healed up, but now we are into my son's High School Baseball season, so shooting time is still very limited.

Since I signed up as part of the Turkey Contest, I guess I'll first try and kill one with the compound and then see if I am comfortable with the recurve enough to try and bag the second one with it.

I will be using a DB blind on private property withlots of turkeys, so most years it is just a matter of putting in some time for a shot opportunity.

April 1st here. I'm taking a young man with me for his first Turkey hunting adventure. I know I can put him on some birds, we will have to see if he can hit them. Looking forward to it.

Been itchin for it since before waterfowl season closed. Shot one with a bow last year... might mess with it again... I don't know... don't care... just want to hear em sound off.

15 Days and I'm off to Alabama. 1000 acres to myself, and my buddy (cameraman). DB Matrix 360, Pretty Boy decoy, Hoyt Vectrix, and Benelli SBE II. Hopefully will have something to show for it once I return.
