It can ' thicken' all it wants, but is FAAAAAAAAAAAR from hard. It were hard like you are describing it, I guess therapy and rest wouldn' t be prudent eh. Now I' m pissed I went through ten weeks of therapy...should' ve just emailed Dr. P.

Aren' t ' hard' boiled eggs still soft? Not sure what kind of an analogy that was.....not very good if it was from a doc.

Whatever at least I knew it was being done on a disc and not a vertabre.

i didn' t name them. So I guess I was right compareing them to a hard boiled egg because they are still soft.

Oh Charlie...you don' t remember your ol' boy Chad? You bored me to death several years ago via private emails with your constant complaining about your back pain. Buck up Charlie, we all have our issues. Maybe you should consider a little counseling.

I had the spinal manipulations about 10 years ago. Yes they helped then but my back has gotten worse. I' ve used Vicoden, and Soma off and on for 7 years.

They will be using a flourescope when they do the injections. If the shots don' t work they will do an RF procedure where they burn the nerves at the joints.

I just want to be able to shoot my bow.

[:@] Tmug, I feel for ya. I am in the same kind of boat as you are. I was in an accident this past thanksgiving and hurt my back. My Dr said I have some spinal issues as I am waiting my precertification for my MRI to be done on my lumbar spine. He did some test and said that I have something going on down there. But as long as I don' t sit in one position too long I am only ok. I can' t do any lifting or I am in real pain. I just wonder what they will find? But I am hoping PT will help but can' t do it till they know exactally what is going on with my whole spine. Insurance sucks as After I get approved to get my lumbar spine done then they have to pre cert my cervical spine then go do some emg' s and so on. My problems are only starting but I hope to get through this in time. I know its going to take some time and I have accepted that for now. I am out of work for the last 2 months and might be more as I don' t think I could do my job with all the running around I have to do. SO I am not rushing back just taking my time and getting my body right. SO point is just take your time to heal and don' t push things. You need rest and listen to your body.

Thanx Smitty, I had the shots in my spine a few days ago and it helped some. The specialist explained my problem. He said it was from an ald injury(I have a dime sized scar on my back at the vertabra that is damaged the most. my personal physician and I both thought that was what happened, I even remember the details of the injury) I have arthritis from L4 to S1, the L5 disc had ruptured and collapsed leaving bone on bone on the facet joint and the bones next to that are trying to compensate for the resulting angle and I get muscle spams from the attempt to compensate.
