I can never keep kisser buttons on my string, they just simply blow off after a few shots. I had one on last year that lasted me the season, it was soft and I had to wrap both ends in serving to keep it on. The hard ones just crack and brake. The one from the season finally gave out. I have two options, learn to shoot without it, or wrap a large wad of serving to act like a kisser. What do you recomend?? I like the kisser, helps me.

ever tried a brass nock set? they pinch down on the string as tight as you want them, and as long as you are not using a facemask, you can still feel it in the corner of your mouth. My friend shoots this way, because he too had a kisser break.....Just pinched on a brass nocking point and he was good to go.....He likes it.

I dont like them though, and dont use them.I guess my advice is 2nd hand, so take it as such.

Just serve the kisser button in place and you won't loose it.

ive shoot with one for as long as ive had my bow and never had a problem with one but mine have two metal things that pinch it togather on both ends.

Personally I would ditch it, but if you put one on correctly and serve it on I have never had one brought back to me that had flew off. They are pretty popular in this area.

What Paul said! Back in the early 80's Bear came out with the Delta V, it had the string stops on it, and you could not even keep a metal nocking point on it.

Another option is to just tie one on yourself. You don't need to buy one of those big old plastic things and clamp it to your bow. Just act like your going to tie in a string loop, but only do one half. Pull it tight then cut the string off and melt the end flush with the knot. Now you have a location marker that is really light and you can screw it up and down the serving to adjust it.

Some people use this same technique but they locate it so it touches the tip of their nose instead of the corner of their mouth. Since your nose is always in the same spot. It's too easy to move the corner of your mouth.

I have also done this in place of a peep. I put the knot where the peep should be and just aimed to the side of it. This actually works really well.

You'll need to press your bow to install it but simply using an eliminator button as a kisser, it'll never fly off.
